The structural subdivisions of the university are the separate structural unit “Vynohradiv Professional College of MSU” and “Mukachevo Humanitarian and Pedagogical Professional College of MSU”, which train specialists in the following specialties/educational programs: junior specialist/professional junior bachelor – 10; Junior Bachelor –
1. 153 members of the teaching staff, including 24 doctors of science, 15 professors, 105 candidates of science (doctors of philosophy), 85 associate professors, ensure the fulfillment of the assigned tasks at the university. Among the 47 young scientists are 3 doctors of science, 8 candidates of science, 33 post-graduate students.
The high level of organization of the educational process in all structural subdivisions of the University is facilitated by an integral information and technological infrastructure that is constantly being improved. It includes 4 educational buildings, a fully equipped Scientific Library (constantly updated and includes more than 180,000 documents of scientific and methodical literature), 2 dormitories, computer classrooms with modern computers and Internet access, subject laboratories, 2 student canteens, gym, sports grounds, etc.
The integration of science into the global scientific space is facilitated by: granting Mukachevo State University access to electronic international reference and scientific databases Scopus and Web of Science, resources of Ukrpatent; publication of collections of scientific works “Scientific Bulletin of Mukachevo State University (Series “Economics” and series “Pedagogy and Psychology”), which are included in category B of the List of scientific specialized publications of Ukraine and submitted to the international scientometric databases Scopus and Web of Science; release of the joint Ukrainian-Polish edition “International Scientific Journal “Education and Science”. The results of the scientific work of the students of higher education are highlighted in the collection of scientific works “Science of the Future”.
The scientific society of students, postgraduates, doctoral students and young scientists “Science of the Future” of the Mukachevo State University contributes to the formation of scientific interest and the development of science in the youth environment. The Scientific Society popularizes scientific activity among students of higher education at the university, promotes the participation of young scientists in scientific and practical conferences and seminars of various levels, in competitions of student scientific works, actively involves young people in the publication of articles in scientific publications. The Student Council of Mukachevo State University supported the initiative to create the Council of Young Scientists at the Transcarpathian Regional State Administration and delegated its representatives.
In order to create favorable conditions for the continuous training of pedagogical workers in the conditions of graduate education, further strengthening of personnel potential, the university has opened since 2014 a postgraduate program in the following fields: 01 Education/Pedagogy (specialties: 011 Education, pedagogical sciences, 015 Professional education (according to specialization)) ; 05 “Social and behavioral sciences” (specialty 051 “Economics”); 07 “Management and administration” (specialty 076 “Entrepreneurship, trade and stock market activity”), which in 2021 were successfully accredited by the National Agency for Quality Assurance of Higher Education In 2022 a postgraduate course was opened in the field 05 “Social and behavioral sciences” in the specialty 053 “Psychology”.
More than 60 graduate students study at the graduate school. In 2021 19 dissertations for the Doctor of Philosophy degree were defended by graduate students, including 16 graduate students in one-time specialized councils of Mukachevo State University.
The activities of the university in the field of international relations were carried out in the following directions: cooperation with institutions of higher education; participation of teachers, employees, graduate students and students in scientific conferences, language courses, conducting scientific research, internships, lectures, training, etc.; cooperation of structural units of the university and individual teachers, employees, graduate students and students in competitions for receiving scholarships and grants from international organizations and foundations. Today, the university has bilateral cooperation agreements with 25 higher education institutions of the European Union. The most active is cooperation with universities in Poland, Slovakia, Lithuania, and Hungary.
Students of higher education have the opportunity to participate in international academic mobility programs (one-month, three-month, six-month), in the “Two Diplomas”, “Double Diploma” programs, during practical training, and university teachers – in international internship programs, professional development, conducting lectures, joint participation in scientific research, grant projects, conferences, etc.
The activities of the university team are aimed at improving the system of training specialists, introducing advanced Ukrainian and foreign experience into the educational process, complying with the norms and standards of higher education, innovative pedagogical technologies, educating student youth in worldview and spiritual culture, national self-awareness, organization and implementation at the level of global requirements , in the closest interaction with stakeholders, students of higher education, academic institutions and foreign partners, scientific research, growth and strengthening of the university’s image and authority.
