HISTORY OF THE DEPARTMENT

     The opening of the “Hotel and Catering Industry” field of study at the Mukachevo State University was timely, as the sphere of service in the region has been developing rapidly and in the coming years may become the most important sector of entrepreneurial activity in the region. In these conditions, the need for highly qualified specialists has been growing, as a significant number of hotel and restaurant complexes in the region successfully regenerate their activities and increase the volume of provision of additional services.
The Department of Hotel and Catering Industry was established in 2011 in the structure of the Faculty of Tourism, Hotel and Catering Industry, being a graduating department, it specializes in the training of specialists in educational and qualification levels, a specialist and a master’s degree specializing in Hotel and Catering Industry.
Organization of the graduating department of the Hotel and Catering Industry meets the requirement of modern economic policy in accordance with the needs of the state and the region for the training of specialists. The educational and research work of the Hotel and Catering Industry department is aimed at providing specialists with the potential of the latest management technologies, to develop the skills of independently and competently solve a set of tasks in accordance with its functional responsibilities. Students acquire the necessary knowledge of theoretical training and receive practical skills in the specialty.
