Mukachevo State University is a modern higher educational institution of III-IV accreditation levels, one of the largest scientific, methodological and cultural centers of Transcarpathia. This is a multi-disciplinary educational institution that provides training in 9 study fields: Education / Pedagogy, Social and Behavioral Sciences, Culture and Art, Management and Administration, Mechanical Engineering, Production and Technology, Public Management and Administration», «Natural Sciences», «Service Sector».
The university has four faculties and sixteen departments, which provide training in 22 specialties and 24 full-time and part-time educational programs:
Pedagogical faculty: Preschool Education; Primary Education; Secondary Education (Music Art); Music Art.
Humanities Faculty: Secondary Education (English Language and Foreign Literature); Information, Library and Archive Business; Psychology.
Faculty of Tourism and Hospitality Industry: Geosciences; Hotel and Restaurant Business; Tourism; Museology and Monument Study.
Faculty of Economics, Management and Engineering: Professional Education (Design); Professional Education (Economy); Professional Education (Garment Industry); Accounting and Taxation; Finance, Banking and Insurance; Management; Public Management and Administration; Marketing; Industrial Engineering; Light Manufacturing (Footwear and Haberdashery Design; Garment Technologies and Design).
Educational process in Mukachevo State University is carried out by 198 teachers, among them 16 Doctors of Sciences and Professors, 112 PhD holders.
A good organization of educational process at University is supported by a unified IT structure which is constantly improved. It includes 4 educational buildings, equipped with Scientific Library (which is constantly updated and numbers more than 150 thousand items of scientific and methodical literature), 2 hostels, computer classes.
Mukachevo State University is constantly working on expanding the international cooperation, both in educational and scientific fields. At present, the University actively cooperates with educational institutions in Poland, Slovakia, Hungary and other European countries. Students of all specialties have opportunity to apply for Double Diploma Program which functions on partnership basis with Higher School of Czestochowa (Poland) and Sopot Higher School (Poland), provides simultaneous study at two universities, and finishes with dual degree (bilateral) Ukrainian/Polish diploma of a state standard; Semester Academic Exchange Program with Yan Dlugosh Academy (Czestochowa, Poland), which enables students to free study by professional disciplines during one semester, in the framework of the EU-funded International Student Exchange Program.
